Collaboration

One of the main aims of CIRES is to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration between scientific institutions around the world. We plan to bring together multiple specialists to work on existing datasets to tackle complex issues in conservation ecology and sustainability.

To do so we already have several long-term ecological datasets from Taiwan and elsewhere in the East / Southeast Asian region. Please contact us if you are interested in discussing what is available, if you would be able to contribute data that could be used in synthesis analyses, or if you would like to propose a new project.

CIRES is currently working on the following projects:

Renewable energy, agricultural production and biodiversity conservation: a study on socio-ecological systems resilience and governance.

Monitoring and assessment on the impact of succession of thinned forest plantation on ecosystem and communities in Lintienshan and Yuli forest compartments.

Carbon and water budgets of a lowland plantation at the DNDF flux tower site.

Please contact one of the project investigators to discuss opportunities for collaboration.

See Visitor Resources for information on reaching and staying near to CIRES.
